On August 6, 2011, our
community lost a brave and beloved hero, Tech Sgt. Daniel L. Zerbe, a Untied
States Air Force (USAF) Pararesucueman when a Chinook helicopter he was in
crashed in Afghanistan, killing him and 30 other American heroes.
A 2001 graduate of Red
Lion Area Senior High School, Tech Sgt Zerbe was a Pararescueman in the USAF’s
elite 24th Special Tactics Squadron.
During his service Tech Sgt Zerbe brought not only great credit to himself,
but also to the United States Air Force by saving the lives of countless
service personnel during multiple special operations missions overseas throughout
the past decade.
This page and this
annual ride are dedicated to him and the others that live by the creed “That
Others May Live”.
